I'm interested in learning more about the ability to checkin registrants using third party software. I have three related questions:
1) The documentation notes that Events Booking own method to checkin via mobile is quite slow and unsuitable in a use case for many registrants. Can you provide a quick explanation why this is so?
2) Are you aware of any customers who have developed a solution to synch back checkin registration information from a 3rd party such as codeREADr so that the front-end view would reflect what has ocurred outside EventsBooking (perhaps through direct database write)?
3) What method or event should I look at to begin reviewing possibilities to effecting a custom work-around to the issue causing latency/speed problems in #1 above and using some 3rd-party to scan but then synch to EventBooking database?
I'm thinking of this approach: i) Using any free scanning apps (without fees in codeREADr) ii) modify the qrcode that can be generated by EventBooking so that it includes a URL to another server (i.e. Zapier) with other data by query params and then update the Event Booking database either directly or via cron (would read and process database writes).
