Custom field quantity remaining

I am experimenting with the custom field quantity function.

I have a workshop custom field. It is a list with 4 options - currently set to 20 per option
As I understand it if say option 1 sells out it will disappear from the list and only those options with spaces (e.g 2,3,4) will show.

3 questions.
1) If I change the numbers in the quantity section of the custom field and then save this does this reset everything to the new number available.
I have some delegates that were registered manually that I need to make allowances for, so need to adjust the number of places released.

2) Is there a way of displaying the number of uses for each option remaining ?
I dont mind going into PHPmyadmin to find this out if necessary - where is it stored?

3) Are the number of uses specific to each event - if I use the custom field in 2 events are the quantities shared between both events e.g 20 uses in both events A and B or are they specific to each event e.g event A 20 uses, event B 20 uses

1. If you change quantity, then the new quantity will be used but it doesn't reset. For example, if an option has capacity 4, 2 registrants choose it before, then 2 is left. If you change capacity to 6, then 4 is left (6 - 2 = 4). Hope it is clear

2. At the moment, it is not supported. Something we can consider support for in next release 2.14.2

3. It is for each event. Each even has independent / not related quantity available
