Search module suddenly requires login?

I am currently testing to offer frontend editing of registrants and events. I created a hidden menu with Menu type "com_eventbooking » Registrants management" and "com_eventbooking » Submit Event" respectively. This in itself works very smoothly and looks very promising.

However, once I publish the new hidden menu items, it breaks the search module on my "Up-coming Events Timeline layout" page. After using the search, I am now redirected to the frontend login page, regardless of login status, browser used etc.

I am not aware of any special options or customizations I might have set that could influence the search page in this way. The error is reproducable in different browsers, but as the site is live, I have unpublished the new management sites.

Any idea on what went wrong here? Many thanks!

Something wrong with the routing. Please create a new hidden menu item, link to upcoming events menu option of Events Booking

Then edit the module, you will see a parameter called Itemid . Enter ID of the hidden menu item you just created

After that, it should work as expected

and thanks for the quick help. I have trouble to follow your instructions, I fear.

1. I created a new item called temp in my hidden menu and selected "Up-coming Events Timeline layout" as menu type. The item ID of this new item is 123.
2. I open my existing item in the main menu, an put this item ID 123 into "Module assignment | Events Booking - Upcoming events | Menu item ID"

I must confess that I do not fully understand what I am doing here, and it also does not change anything

In this case, please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site. I will try to check to see why it doesn't work and get it sorted
