middle name copies into last name field was created by ligi
Hi Tuan
We use CB for member registrations. I configured Event Booking to map with CB fields on middle name and last name..However whenever a booking is made the middle name gets copied into the last name field.. This messes up the member database . How can we prevent that the last name gets overwritten with the combination middle name + last name in CB

Hi
Could you please give me a sample full name and let me know what's first name and what's last name so that I can look at it, see what's wrong with the code and guide you to correct it?
Regards,
Tuan

Yes, in this case the name is
first name : Test
middle name: van
last name : Nuleen
this is how they are in Community Builder.
Whenever i make a booking Event Booking prefills the fields with:
first name : Test
middle name: van
last name : van Nuleen
so the middle name 'van' gets copied into the last name field. I mapped the middle and last name field to CB, however it still messes up the last name. This is a major problem as the CB member database is used for multiple tasks..
Also: if a user is not logged in and fills the login boxes in the evnet booking page it gets redirected to CB login page, and he has to find his way back to the booking...inconvenient, is there a way to make this login work properly?

Hello ligi
1. Did you map the first_name field in Events Booking with the first_name field in CB ? The way Events Booking works now is that if there is no first_name data, it will try to detect first_name and last_name from Joomla core name field. In your sample case, I can confirm the issue. Not sure in case name contains more than two words, what should be first name and what should be last name/
2. About login redirect, it causes by CB System Plugin. I don't remember exactly the parameter causing that, you can submit a support ticket so that we can check and correct it for you
Regards,
Tuan
