change info in custom field after submission

Hi there,

i've made this custom field for my users to show if they want to pull a boat behind the car for our races.
right now they can't change it after they registered for the event. but in case they are sick, car brakes down or whatever reason.
is there a way to make this possible? i've been testing with user permissions but it doesn't work it seems..

Is it a custom fee field? If so, yes, that's the intentional of Events Booking prevent users from changing it (dis-honest people might choose a low fee option, then edit it, change to higher fee option if we allow us to do that)
