Export Registrants List options

Hi Tuan,
Our event organisers are asking me for two reports:
1. List of all registration bookings for an event (so they can confirm incoming payments) and
2. List of all registration attendees (so they can make attendance lists, seating plans, etc).
Currently Events Booking can do either of these, based on a configuration option to include attendees or not, but not both at once.
Our only solution is to include everything and then add filters to the spreadsheet to cut it down to only the data needed.
It would be more useful to us if we had two menu options in the frontend menu, instead of one, as per above.
Since the system can currently do things either way, so you have already got the code for both options, it would just be a matter of adding an extra menu option rather than doing it in configuration options. This would be really useful to users because they would get the data in exactly the form they need without having to filter it so much (some people are not spreadsheet experts).

I agree Leon. We would need the same functionality in the back-end as in the front-end. Have two menu items available, instead of one menu item that can be configured two ways. It would be more flexible and useful to us.
- Event Registrations (include payment status)
- Event Attendees (include booking group / host)

Honestly, I don't have time to work on this item for now. So maybe when you need to export registrants data, you can turn on / off the two config options for now to get the data you want instead of asking us to provide an extra menu option and allow us to focus more important features first

I will come back to this option in release 2.12.1 if there are more customers need it. For now, I want to focus finishing 2.12.0 and get it release this week

Not yet. Maybe it is good to include a filter dropdown directly on registrants management screen so that you can choose to show type of registration records you want from there, then press Export button in the toolbar will have these types of records exported?

So basically, you can choose to see/export the types of records you want or both? I think that would work

That sounds perfect, Tuan. It looks like more work for you than simply having two menu items with similar functionality but I would say to do it whichever way is easiest for you and we will be very grateful.

I was thinking about backend registrants list. In this case, maybe adding a parameter to menu item will be easier. I will see what I can do to support this

I had a similar need, so I created my own new Export button to export into a format exactly as I wanted, with the fields I wanted. It wasn't too difficult. PM me if you want details, happy to share.
