All Categories are visible on front end! Why? was created by djaber
Hi,
I need to allow my users to Submit Events to their specific categories from the Front End, but unfortunately when doing so they see everyone else's categories in the front end as well!!
I dont see an ACL group permission option for categories anywhere, nor do I see an option when setting up the front end menu to show what categories that can only be visible to that specific form. Anyone can choose anybody elses, and this is a huge problem and risk when you have many users and categories.
I dont want, for example, my Accounting Department to have the ability to assign submitted events to my Payroll department. This has happened a few times accidently, and I see no restrictions I can setup.
We need to be able to restrict this so certain users/groups can only create events to a certain category; either via ACL using groups, an ID setting, or a menu setting.
Is this possible? Am I overlooking a config option some where that already has this feature? I would think this is a common requirement.
Thank you

Hi djaber
Unfortunately, this feature is not supported in the extension yet. In each category, you can only choose to show/hide it on frontend event submission form
There is no option to set access level/acl for category on frontend event submission form yet. This is not a common requirement as this is the first time I heard about this request. You can post this request on feature wishlist forum, if there are other customers need this feature, I will consider adding support for it in the next release
Regards,
Tuan
