Account creation: Joomla and Event Booking was created by Nigel Hagger-Vaughan
Hi
I have a customer who is running a teacher training service. They provide courses for teachers who are working at local schools, and I have set up Events Booking to handle the admin. As it is still early days, their clients are still mainly unaware of the site and the booking facility, so booking is being carried out on their behalf. The administrator logs into the back end of the site and manually enters registrant details into Events Booking.
However, this leaves us with the problem that the registrants created in this way are not Joomla users, so are unable to log into the site for other purposes (for example, to have access to the document repository there). If attendees had done the booking themselves online their registration would have served for Events Booking and Joomla, but we cannot assume that it will always happen that way.
Is there a way of creating course registrants using the Events Booking back end that simultaneously creates them as Joomla users?

Hi Nigel
Go to Events Booking -> Configuration, find the config option User Registration Integration, set it to Yes
Then when they create new registration record, they can enter username and password for the user and a Joomla account will be created, too

Does this mean that a Joomla account also gets created if the Events Booking account is created through the back end? We already have the Registration integration option set to Yes.
