Unique PayPal Email Address for Event Owner

Hello,

Is it possible for event owners that post new events via the front-end to use their own PayPal email address to collect payment for their events, vs. having just the one PayPal email address that's assigned in the plugin itself for all events?

you can use a different PayPal email address for each event. Go to Event -> Advanced settings and set the PayPal email address for that event. Then this email address will be used instead of the default one set in the config parameters of the plugin os_paypal.

The only issue we foresee is that the PayPal plugin needs to be enabled for all events, even though only about half of our users would like to use the PayPal option. The other half only uses the 'Pay Offline' option.

I wonder if there's a way to only show the PayPal payment option if the 'Paypal Email' field is populated in the event's form ... and left disabled when the field is left empty.

in the Advanced settings for each event, there is the field "Payment methods" where you can select which payment methods (of all those you have published on your site) should be allowed for the event.
It is the event creator who decides (by selection of either all or one or several methods) which payment method(s) he allows for this event.
I think this could solve your problem. But I must agree that I have not checked if the "Advanced settings" tab is accessible from the front end.

I don't believe the option currently exists for front-end users to select payment types. I'll have to check...

It looks like the Payment Type option isn't available via the front-end.

@ Joomdonation - is it possible to add this field by re-using the code that's used in the 'Advanced Settings' when creating/editing events in the admin area?

@Dryfive: There will be code modification needed in two files (components/com_eventbooking/view/event/html.php (to get list of avaialble payment methods from database to display on the form) and then display it on the form by adding the code to components/com_eventbooking/view/event/tmpl/default.php

That will require a bit of Joomla programming skill to do this modification
