How to inform Event creator of a new participant was created by Lionel Charrier
I have event creators allowed from Frontend. They are not backend admin or super admin.
When a participant registers to an event created from frontend, the event creator is not informed.
Only the backend site administrator receives a mail, and obviously the participant.
How can I do to get the event creator informed of its participants other than looking, from time to time, to the site to see if there is a new participant.
I have seen that someone has modified a file sendmail() to do something similar.
Kind Regards

Hello,
maybe it works if you set "Config -> General -> Only show registrants of events owner" to YES.
But I never tried this myself.
Sincerely,
Léon

Not sure what version of the extension you are using but that feature is now supported in the extension out of the box
Basically, if the event creator is just normal Joomla registered user, when someone register for the event which he created, he will be notified (he will receive same email as administrator)

I am using version 2.10.3.
I have just made another test with 2 accounts One with a @gmail.com adress, the other one with an @orange.fr adress. Site used webmaster@mysitedomain.com. Events are shown to visitors but all events being private, user shall be membre to subscribe.
Owner @gmail.com creates an event front end and disconnect. User @orange.fr connects and subscribes to the event.
As the webmaster and the participant receive 2 Mails : One to the webmaster and one to the user. As the event owner I do not receive any mail. Of course the 3 email adresses are different to avoid confusion.
As you confirm it should work out of the box without adding any parameter in any configuration whatsoever, I do not understand why it is not working.
Hope you will find a clue.
Best Regards
Lionel

Hi Lionel
What is the user group of the event creator (the one with @gmail email) ? Could you please assign him to Registered group only and check it again?

Thanks for your response.
Since the event is already created I can change the group of the event creator. I changed the group of the event creator (the one with @gmail email) to "registered" only and I have same results:
Only two confirmations mails : One to the webmaster and one to the participant.
The event creator is not informed at all. I have verified that the mail to the @gmail email is not bloques by my hoster.
I believe there is a bug or a conflict somewhere.

Hi Lionel
I don't have any clue about it. In this case, please submit a support ticket sending us:
1. Super admin account of the site
2. Link to the page which we can register for the event
We will try to check to see why it doesn't work and guide you to correct it. Maybe change the event creator email to a different email (which surely receive email / not being blocked) to a different email and test it again before submit support ticket
