User indicated payment amount

Trying to figure out the best way to handle. We have an event with multiple costs. $300 for full weekend and also want to provide option to pay $100 deposit. I need to figure out a way for the user to come back and submit additional payments. Is there a way to allow user to indicate the amount of a payment?
