Hello,
I have just enabled the shopping cart on my site, and it looks like exactly what I need, but I'm not sure if it works as it should...
Basically, we run clubs, and each club has a junior section and a senior section, each with their own capacity, so each club has 2 events. We need to log all of the registered childrens' details and the guardian's details. We use member information for the kids, and the billing info for the guardian. Normally, the maximum group members that would register would be 4, e.g. 2 juniors and 2 seniors.
Previously, before we could collect member info with the shopping cart, customers had to complete multiple transactions, e.g. 1 transaction for the 2 juniors and 1 transaction for the 2 seniors. This is not nice UX, and also costs us money due to payment gateway fees.
The Shopping card fixes this issue for us.
But, unfortunately the shopping cart doesn't seem to deal with payments correctly, when collect group info is enabled:
I just did a couple of transactions for a test event, with a cost of €10. I paid for the event using a €10 voucher. Even with just a single member, I am getting a line in the registrants list saying that the booking is part of a group. This is all fine.
The problem is that the individual members are showing as payment pending in the backend, while only the group is showing as paid.
In the registration export, I can see a couple of differences between the shopping cart "group" registration, and the non-shopping cart registration.
1) In shopping cart, in the group line with the billing details, the "Group:" column is blank, whereas in the normal group registration, this has the first name + second name from the billing step as the group (same as the individual member lines).
2) The Transaction ID from the payment gateway is only on the billing line, and not on the member line.
If this can be fixed, then the shopping cart will be exactly what we need.

Too long, didn't read: Shopping cart transactions are still showing as payment pending, even though payment has been made. Is this a bug? I'm using Joomla 3.6.2, Event Booking 2.8.1.

Actually, I read it but didn't know how to answer, so I leave it to later
If you said that, yes, something special on your site causing the issue. Could you please;
1. Go to Events Booking -> Payment Plugins, click on it to edit, set Log IPN messages parameter to Yes
2. Then try to register again, make payment
If it still doesn't work, submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that I can check to see why it happens and get it sorted. Maybe the IPN message could not reach your site and that's the reason causing the issue

Hi,
in one instance I paid by 100% voucher, in another I paid using Stripe. Both results were the same.
I can't find the Log IPN Messages parameter, so will send you super admin access via ticket.

I know the reason of the issue now. The collect members information for shopping cart was implemented recently and I didn't think about this case. I will have it fixed and update download package with this fix before this time on tomorrow
