Can't change language

Hey,
I got 2 problems:
1.
The program won't save the language settings if I change them to german for the front-end. I veriefied the DB, I uploaded the content of the german language pack to
/Administrator/language/de-DE
so theres a frontend and backend folder now with ther german stuff. Nothing happens. As soon as I access translation settings, front end is GB EN again

-edit: german works for backend
2.
I can't find the info about the date parameters for the calender. It shows date in american way

1=> Maybe it causes by permission issue. Please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that we can check and correct it for you

2=> Go to Events Booking -> Configuration, find the config option Event Date format, change it to meet your need. For list of supported parameters, please read documentation at php.net/manual/en/function.date.php
