Read more in categories description text

Hi,
One of my clients has many categories of events - and each event description is quite long.
She is hoping to add a 'read more' link after the first paragraph of the category text - is this possible in event booking?
When I tested it didn't seem to work.

Unfortunately, Events Booking doesn't support readmore on categories and events description. For categories, all the text entered into the description will be showed

I found my own solution by using a Joomla content plugin to hide some of the text behind a 'read more' expandable tab.
This works nicely
extensions.joomla.org/extension/sliders
