Show a city for location but not the Google Maps

I am having an event, but the detailed location isn't finalised. The Location setting Google Maps won't recognise the city I've put in, it tells me "We're sorry, but the locations not found". But when I open the event on the web, is shows the Google map, with the pointer in the middle of the ocean (see attached file). How do I stop the Google Map from showing when i don't want it to show?

Also, there is a tab called "Comment", which is blank. How do i remove that?

Hi Charlie

1. About the comment, go to Extensions -> Plugins Manager, find the plugin "Eventbooking - Jcomments plugin", unpublish it and that tab will be gone

2. About the city you put it, I guess it is not recognized but google map API, and I don't think we can change it. Could you please let me know when will you don't want to show the map on the page? Maybe send me the screenshot of your location setting (edit the location, make the screenshot) so that we can look at it?

Hello Tuan,
thank you about the Comments tab - now gone.

I've attached a screen shot of the error message when I put an City and State name in the Location Manager. I put in the name of the city (Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia) and it is not recognised. Using Google Maps, Rockhampton Queensland is recognised.

I would rather just the city name come up (Rockhampton) with no map until i put in an actual street address which the map can then show.

Must be something wrong with your location data. Could you please submit a support ticket sending us:

1. Super admin account of the site

2. Link to this page

We are going to check to see why it happens and get it sorted
