and email?
We are synchronised with CB.
I tried to switch from first name (what is the point of that by iteself???) to fullname, but I cannot get fullname to synchronise with CB. In Joomla we use fullname or formatname to identify user. I selected that in the custom field, and yes it is published, but no joy.
Every time it asks for first name and email. I edited these fields to make them optional but they still appear, even though they don't seem to link to anything.
What is going wrong, please?

Hi Andrew
That's by it's design. First Name (and Email) and the two required fields and it could not be optional:
1. First Name field is used to allow you to click on to see the details information of the registration record
2. Email field is used to send confirmation email to registrants after they complete payment
I don't know why you don't need first_name. For information of a registration, the name of the person is required and shouldn't be optional, I think

Hi Tuan,
Unfortunately first name by itself does not identify the person. I know lots of Tuans but only one Tuan Pham Ngoc
. We have lots of members called 'Andrew'. This is why I tried to use full name - because it is linked to 'formattedname' in the members database. But the system fails to make that link.
It should allow a search perhaps - alphabetic menu of users/members to find yourself - and the default first attendee should be the person making the booking (registrant) anyway. The system already knows who I am when I make the booking. Why does it not default to assume I am also the first attendee? As long as that could be changed in the rare event that a member is booking for others but not attending themselves.
The only email that matters is the email confirmation to the person making the booking. How do we turn off emails to attendees or make that optional for the event?
Regards,
Andrew
