Commas in field value causing issues in depends on

If I create a custom field for an event that is a radio button group. Something like this:
first item
second item, very important
third item

Then, i create another custom field that is only displayed when the user selects "second item, very important" from the previous question.

It fails because (it seems) when the "depends on" information is stored and retrieved from the database, the data has been stored with commas as option delimiters. However, the original data in the custom field uses line breaks to delimit the options.

This causes a problem because the "depends on" option to match becomes "second item", which fails.

I noticed the same thing about a month ago. Tuan said that he is hoping to fix this in v 2.5.0 (see: joomdonation.com/forum/events-booking-ge...nt-fields.html#78790 )

I ended up replacing my comma with other characters as a work-around for now. (eg: use "second item (very important)" or "second item -- very important").

Yes. I am planning to release 2.5.0 within this week which will fix the issue. You can download version 2.5.0 on Monday next week and it will work well

If you are in rush, please send me an email to tuanpn@joomdonation.com and I will send you the current version 2.5.0 (which was tested but I want to add some other minor improvements before making it public release)

Unfortunately, my client's text needs commas to make sense. I even replaced them with sub-scripted apostrophes.
