Duplicate Registrations

We are having issues with duplicate registrations. We have Prevent duplicate registration setting turned on and I believe that just gives a message saying already registered if user goes in again and that is working.

Here is the issue... People are sometime double or triple clicking the Register button when first going into it. What happens is a record is created for each one of those clicks. If I click Register fast 5 times (before confirmation screen comes up) then that user shows up as 5 entries. Is there a way to filter out duplicate clicks and only record the first?

What version of the extension you are using? We don't have a perfect solution for this "fast click" issue. However, in latest version, we modified code so that before the form is submitted, the button is disabled. That should help preventing this issue (although not 100%, I think)

Could you please first try to update to latest version, then check it again to see whether you can see the problem happens?

Yes, I updated to the latest version and tried again before I submitted this. The problem is still there. I can get up to 6 or 7 entries easily but realistically we see many doubles and some triples. I think alot of people inherently 'double click', hence the double entries. I was hoping you could do a check or something when you write the entry and if the name and event already exist abort the write - or something to that effect. Thanks for checking into it.

We also have the Prevent Duplicates already turned on and that does take away the Register button and changes to Cancel but that is after the record is submitted. There is no problem once the confirm screen is up but problem is multiple clicks before that.

I will try to see whether we can add disable the submit button right after it is clicking before further processing. I will update you with the result. Please give me about two days to review the code to find a solution
