Event Booking Map API

Hi,

I'm getting the error ""Google Maps API warning: NoApiKeys developers.google.com/maps/documentation...messages#no-api-keys " " in the console however I thought Google maps no-longer needed an API key.

The map is failing to display now - can you help?

My maps are fine but getting these errors too:

It causes by the changes in Google Map API. Please update your site to latest version 2.8.1 of Events Booking and the error will be gone

Hi Tuan. I have Event Booking version 1.6.5 and same problem with Google Maps. Before was ok, now after changes in Google there is a problem in the script in Event Booking. API key obtained and declared in plugin which communicates site and Google. So looks like the problem is in the script. Can you correct the problem without of necessity of paying for next version if I do not need it and won't pay next time for the same software? Thanks for response. Best, Alpi

Sorry but the problem is not in Events Booking itself. I remember that in the past (long time ago), Google requires API Key for calling their API, and then they removed that requirement, so there is no reason for Events Booking to keep asking for API key. That must be from two years ago, or so.

Then few months ago, they started require API again, so we had to update Events Booking code :

1. Add config option to allows you to specify API key to use (the default one is OK, too, just in case you want to use a different key)

2. Modify code in all places which require API Keys to pass the configured API key to API call

Surely, if it is a problem with my code, I will go ahead to fix it for you (even your support perior was expired). But as you can see, it is a changed from Google, so we can only update the change to our software and release new version. We could not go to every individual customer websites which use old version to help fixing the problem

I guess you are having problem with the map popup. So I attached the map view from latest version here. Hope you can compare and apply necessary changes to make it works
