Tuan,

1. 2.3 seems to work well with minimal impact on users,

2. In the three days since installing (2.3.1) we have had at least three 'failures' when processing an event. A message of "Your registration was failure" is displayed with no reason. Sometimes, but not always, a page is displayed with "Message Something went wrong. You are NOT successfully registered" However, the person IS registered and receives the emails. This is causing our staff and users great confusion! We have seen this on both Chrome and Safari.

3. When a user wants to join a waiting list, this used to be easy (in 1.x) Click a join button and fill in a minimum amount of information. Now they must go through a complete registration, select all required fields etc. They must provide information that they may not even want us to have unless they actually go to the event.

Worse: The cost of the event is displayed. Staff has received phone calls complaining that they don't want to pay just to join the waiting list. This is a serioous problem

We would prefer changing back to the old way. If not, please give a global or local option to not show the price or at least indicate it is for information only

4. Sometimes, especially after using a 'fillin' - like in Chrome, when press Process, the form scrolls to the email field. There is no error message or popup. Typing a entry for one or more fields at this time does not help. Note that this occurred when we were running 1.7. I am not certain that it is still happening with 2.3

5. Still looking forward to only having the coupon field on events with coupons

Hi

2=> This is now fixed in latest version of the extension. You can download and upgrade it to your site and the issue won't happen anymore

3=> That's how it works for now and I think I won't change it back. With this change, the users who joined waiting list will be added to registrants database (with waiting list status) and later, if admin want to move him to be actual registrant, admin can simply change the status to Paid

4=> If you can tell me how I can see the issue ourself, I will be happy to check it

5=> It is in my to do list. Should be in the extension ine one or two weeks

Hello,

We have events organised in such a way that every joomla registered subscriber immediately lands on the waiting list. An Event Administrator, who's only using the front end, changes the registrant's status to "paid" manually. As many fields like address, city, email etc... remain mandatory by default, lots of unnecessary work goes into changing this data and we don't want that.

About these mandatory fiields, i was wondering whether it'd be possible to give us the choice of making those fields mandatory or not.
The documentation site speaks of the billing fields but I do not seem to find this tab in my install (2.4.2): see screenshot.
documentation.joomdonation.com/2-events-...gistration-form.html .

Is there a way of making them not mandatory?

beste regard and thanks for this nice joomla feature!

Hi Ronny

You can choose to require/not require most of the fields. The documentation you looked at is outdated. The new documentation site is eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/

For your need, go to Events Booking, edit the fields you want to change status, set Required to No and it will be optional
