Registration error message was created by Tilman Luschnat
Hi guys,

after recovering my page from a nasty failure (reinstalled everything, including Webserver, PHP, SQL and an update from Event Booking 2.1.0 to 2.3.1) I get a "Registration failed" error message after registration(See the attached picture).
Apart from the error message everything works just fine! The emails are beeing sent, files uploaded correctly and the registrant is inserted into the database.
My users are understandably confused by this error and subsequently try registering multiple times.

I suspect a problem with the database between Eventbooking 2.1.0 and 2.3.1

The German in the picture reads:
Registration failed
Your registration was not successful
Reason:

EDIT:
I found this error in the PHP log:

[09-Feb-2016 12:10:36 Europe/Berlin] PHP Notice: Undefined property: EventbookingViewFieldHtml::$dependOptions in /---/---/---/joomla/administrator/components/com_eventbooking/view/field/tmpl/default.php on line 430

I think the development team is unavailable for fixes this week due to the lunar new-year holiday (thanks @Tuan for still giving forum support during the festivities! ). Until they are able to respond to support tickets, you could temporarily change the text of the warning message in the Translation Manager, letting your users know that something when wrong, but that it is a server problem that you are aware of and working to fix, and that their registration WAS INDEED successful. Remember that the Translation Manager has multiple pages when looking for the value(s) you need to change.

Good idea! This will provide some relief until this gets fixed.

Just now I noticed another problem:
On checkbox type custom field the text in "values" is not displayed on the registration form.

That's weird... Does it work if you don't use html in the value (though I often use html there myself)? Maybe something is bugging out because of the <a href ... /a>?

Ok I removed the HTML, but it did not help

I would post the resulting HTML in a code tag, but it would not let me.
Anyways it seems like the label text is missing, while the value of the input is ok.

Actually, it causes by the change I made to the extension recently. In the current version, when the checkboxes has only one option, Events Booking won't display the text of that option

You can get this file, unzip it, upload to administrator/components/com_eventbooking/libraries/rad/form/field folder of your site. After that, it should work as expected

I'm getting the same issue - with registration being reported as a failure with no reason or error code. The registration appears to be successful though.

I'm using offline payment.

I have exactly the same issue!
People register but getting an error, no reason or code (I see this in the URL ="...registration-failure?id=xx")
But the registration IS successful when I look in admin, and they also get the confirmation email!
I'm using offline payment too!

I use the latest version and latest Joomla

Sorry. I remember there was a typo in the code and I fixed it few days ago. Could you please access to My Downloads menu item, see your order, download latest version from there and upgrade it to your site, then check it again and let me know if the issue still happens ?
