Language management problem was created by Delemo
Hi OS solution team,
I'm finding some troubles to manage my events registration in multiple languages.
The default language of my Joomla! site is set to french.
So I have 2 site languages installed: english and french.
I've created 2 menu links:
- 1 link to my event detail with language set to french
- 1 link to the same event detail but with language set to english
The language association between these 2 links is created so that I can play with the Joomla! language switcher.
When switching language, all the translated strings managed per event or per field through the Translation tab of the create/edit panel, are well rendered.
But the translated strings managed with the main translation tool (/administrator/index.php?option=com_eventbooking&view=language) are not correctly changed. Everything is still displayed in english.
For example when displaying the site in french the event booking buttons are diplayed in english so are the general titles ("Individual registration", "Properties", "Payment information"…)
My configuration:
Joomla! 3.4.8
Eventbooking 2.2.1
PHP 5.5.30
MySQL 5.1.31
Thank you for your help
Simon
Edit:
I've attached a screnshot of my french registration form with debug and debug kanguage enable

Hi Simon
From what I see, the French language file might be broken for some reasons (had few customers had that issue in the past)
In this case, please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site. I will have my dev to look at it and get it sorted for you
Regards,
Tuan

I think the error in french files could be due to the existence of text containing the ' caracter

it is normal to use the ' character in French, but it seems that when you edit the translations within events booking admin (back end), it saves the file with a double " at the end and begin of the text containing the ' character.

Hi
Could you please use this updated language file and check it again to see whether you still see the errors like you said?

Hello,
Like suggested I've opened a ticket for this problem.
It seems like the front-end french file was the cause of the problem (don't know exactly why).
Indeed, with this new french file the problem is gone.
Thank you

Great. Thanks for confirming. I will soon working to package language so that it could be installed via Joomla extensions manager and you won't have to upload it via FTP. Will include this fixed language file in the new language package, too

Tuan
