Calendar and map on same page?

Hi guys,

i'm compiling custom page which has the default calendar (i'm calling the component view) with a module which shows the archive and the upcoming events (history module). This works fine, but, when i add the map module, the page doesn't render the component, instead i only see the map module. Is there some sort of limitation not to show the calendar and the map on the same page?
