SSL - adjustments needed?

My hoster is participating in the free SSL project and offers to all his customers free SSL certificates. I saw that there is a setting in Event Booking for SSL in the configuration tab. What does this do? Do I have to consider something special for this switch?

When you set that config option to Yes (only set it to Yes if your site support https), the registration form will be https, therefore, the data you entered on registration form will be encrypted while it is being transfered over internet and it will make the data secure.

Usually, this is only needed if you use a credit card based payment method (customers enter credit card directly on your site for processing payment)

If you use Paypal for example, it is good to have but not really needed because customers being redirected to Paypal, all payment process is handled by Paypal
