calendar in module monthly navigation was created by p.barg
Hello,
I would like to use the calendar view in a module. I used the module "Events Booking View" with view calendar in order to do that.
The calendar is shown fine, but the problem is that the navigation to next/prev month links to a different page, thus takes the user
away from the current page. The mini-calendar behaves differently (the way I like), but lacks the functionality of the standard calendar view. Is there a way to overcome the link problem?
Thanks and regards
Petra

Hi Petra
Unfortunately, it is not possible. Basically, right now, the view module can only used to display static view. ALL the links in that view will redirect users to a separate page (not displaying in the same module after users click on the link)
It is quite difficult to support that. So in this case, with this requirement, I am afraid of you will need to write a custom module

Hello,
ok, thanks, I'll see if I can do an override for the mini-calendar in order to display more information.
For the mini-calendar I noticed that it doesn't display multiple days events if is called the first time on a page. Only if I navigate to next/prev month and back it will display several days.
Another problem I encountered is that the timeline view (as a menu item) only works if the top category is selected. if I select a sub-category, the layout changes from timeline to list view... Can you give some advise here?
Thanks in advance
Petra

Hi Petra
1. I will check the issue with multiple days events during the weekend. If it is a bug, I will check and fix it
2. For the timeline view from menu item. that's strange to me. Maybe it happens because the category which you selected has Category Layout set to Default ? Could you please try to edit the selected category, set the Category Layout parameter to Timeline and check it again?

Hi Tuan,
thanks for looking into this.
For the timeline menu item issue I found out, that the problem only appears for nested categories. Maybe that's even how it is supposed to work. For top level categories all events are shown in the timeline, for end-categories the respective events are shown, but for intermediate categories (which don't contain events themselfs) only the list of sub-categories is shown. As I've said, that's probably the way you intend it to work, I was just a bit confused, because it works differently for the top category...
Best regards
Petra
