I had a customer show me a system in which an person would bring their QR code with them to register and once they registered a printer would print a name badge based off the QR Code.
Also this name badge would be able to be scanned by other people at a convention to capture Vcard information instead of using business cards.
I'm not sure how complex it would be to have a configuration where you could specify parameters that would generate a QR code with info such as Name, Company, Title, email, etc.
My thought is I could make an HTML based name badge that can be delivered via email that would have their name and event info using the html tags, then they could just cut it out and be given a plastic badge holder to place it in and the extra QR code could then be used for vCard info.
Ideally if there was a way to scan your check in QR code and it could somehow print to a label printer onsite (like a dymo printer) that would be awesome. But I have no idea how that could work from the site.
