Error message from Akeeba Admin Tools was created by Peter Hermansson
Hello, I just bought the Event Booking component and installed it. The installation went fine, but when I try to click on 'Configuration' or other icons in the Event Booking Dashboard I get an error message:
"WARNING! A third party extension is trying to silently modify your site's security settings.
Admin Tools has detected that a third party software is trying to modify its settings. This may lead to degradation of your site's security and your site getting hacked. Admin Tools has prevented this action to protect you.
Details of the unauthorised call:
File : /mounted-storage/home110c/sub007/sc60390WSMS/www/IBA/plugins/editors/jckeditor/jckeditor/includes/ckeditor/plugins/editor/htaccessmaker.php
Line : 33
Class : plgEditorHtaccessMaker
Function : _updateAdminToolsHtaccess
This tells you which extension triggered this error message. Please contact its developer and ask them to fix this issue by REMOVING the code which automatically modifies .htaccess Maker settings."
I have reported the problem to Akeeba, and they say that it is Event Booking that tries to change the .htaccessMaker settings and it shouldn't.
Any suggestions?

Hi Peter
As you can see, that's a function of ckeditor plugin. When you go to Configuration page of Events Booking, there are some HTML editors loaded
In this case, you are using CKEDitor, so that ckeditor is loaded. For some reasons, they try to modify .htaccess (I think it might want to allow loading some php script from a different places not allowed by htaccess maker of admin tools
So in this case, we have nothing to do with Events Booking. You can try to switch to use a different HTML editor and you will see that the error like that won't happen anymore
To know exactly the reason why ckeditor tries to modify .htaccess, you can contact the developer of that plugin. They will give you an exactly reason.
Regards,
Tuan
PS : Not sure Akeeba staff reads the description of your issue carefully or not, but their answer to your question is incorrect / invalid. If they read the error message above carefully, they should know that it is an issue with ckeditor
