Hello,
I feel sure this is a silly question, but is there a way to have a checkbox on my form appear checked by default? I've tried adding checked to the default values, but I'm not sure default values are used for checkboxes. Anywhere I can add checked to the input tag?

Most of the results I've found by searching the forum are of people who found the form acting this way when they didn't want it to.

Could you please make the screenshot of the custom field edit screen for that custom field ? I will look at it and guide you with the correct setup

Copy and paste the line from value into default value :)
For example:

James Riley .: EventBooking user since 2014 ::: JoomDonation user since 2016 :.

I am thinking that the setup only have one checkbox option with no actual value and that's the reason I can think of
Kathy could not setup checked status

We will wait for the screenshot before making decision

Tuan, yes it is a single checkbox. However, I do have text in the values fields. I tried James's suggestion, and it worked like a charm. Thanks!

Glad you were able to get it working :)
Copy and paste has been what I found works 100% of the time (retyping can sometimes create a slight difference in spacing/characters/etc. that will then cause the values to not match-up). Just remember to update the [default values] box again if you change your corresponding value in the [value] box (that's obvious, but I've forgotten way too many times).
