I have upgraded two sites to the new version 2.05 but "categories" are not showing. The back end section of categories is empty although the categories section of the data is populated. Can you help?

That sounds strange to me. Could you please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that I can check to see what's wrong and get it sorted for you?
OK Malcolm. If you import the database from older version, after running the import, you should install latest version of Events Booking so that we can make sure the database schema is updated to latest version
