Required File Upload by changing reg. status

Hi!

If I want to change the "registration status" of a registrant in frontend, I cannot change it without uploading an file (custom field in registration form which is required). The point is that there is already an uploaded file listed which is correct.

How can I fix the problem? The field "uploading file" should not be required on the "Edit Registrant" frontend page but still required in the registration form to register for the event.

Now, I found this problem again but this time it occurred with a normal text field which will be required, if one text of the previous list is chosen.
