Custom field validation past date was created by Roger
Hello
I'm trying the best settings for the validation of the entries in the custom fields. I selected the validation for a date and set the validateion to past date.
Event Booking enters: validate[custom[date],past[18.09.2015]] in the validation rule field.
I think this is not the optimal setting, since who cares about the 18 of September in a few years. I think it would be better to have the following as default value: validate[required, custom[date],past[now]].

Yes. Agree. 18.09.2015 is just a sample date and you can always alter it to the date you want. You can also use validate[required, custom[date],past[now]] and it will still work. For all the validation rules you can use, please see
