Buy 1 ticket get another at a discounted price was created by Neil
Hi
I urgently need a way to allow the following...
For a set time period, e.g. one day, anyone purchasing a ticket will be able to purchase a 2nd ticket at a discounted price, is there a way to do this please?
Regards
Neil

Here are 3 ideas:
- Add a checkbox custom fee field that enable customers buy a second half price ticket which is added on to the purchase price. Note: The second ticket will not count towards the number of people attending the event though.
- Alternately, set up group registration with min & max participants set to 2, and each ticket price set to 75% of full price (75% x 2 = 150% = 1 full price & 1 half price ticket). Then you can get names for both participants, and you count 2 people towards the number of people registered.
- Another way would be to setup a unique & individual 50%-off coupon code, set to allow 1 redemption only, that you could email to the customer after they purchase their first ticket. The customer would have to re-visit the site to by the 2nd ticket, and you would have to generate a whole bunch of coupon codes (generating the codes could be done in advance & imported into the coupon database).

Thank you James, the first one is not viable as it will not create an accurate attendee report, the 2nd one is a good idea but a little messy as I was wanting to charge full price for one ticket and that enables a third discount on the 2nd, the 3rd idea is not idea as I wanted it automatic, but I was aware of it and will probably go with it for now, thanks again bud
