How to skip "Number Members" step in group reg. was created by Vineyard Langenthal
I hava an event which allows registration of single members and groups of 2 people (couples) with a different rate. I therefore set the min and max. registrants setting for groups to "2". When I now want to register as a group, the "Number Mebers" dialog appears fist, where I have to enter "2". As the value is always 2, is there a possibility to skip this step and go directly to the registration of the individual members?

Best regards
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas

Unfortunately, right now, we don't have support for this feature, so users will still have to enter number registrants for his registration. I will try to see whether I can add support for it within next week

Please wait for me !

Tuan

Why don't you disable the group registration button?

Then just have a registration buttom, and create a custom field(drop down box) to choose single or Couple. With the couple selection, adding a fee and showing boxes for 2nd person name.

Using Group booking for 2 would just charge Single + Single rather than a reduced couple rate.

Would be the way I would work it.

I know I've used this as a work around. The downfall of this approach is that it doesn't count the additional registrant(s) towards the attendance capacity of the event, which Group registration does.

It should (in theory) be fairly straight forward to set up the code so that either: a) the minimum number for group registration is always auto-entered into the Number of Members box; b) the Number of Members text box is changed to a drop-down pre-populated with all the numbers between min and max, with min being the initial default (more mobile friendly??); and/or c) if min=max, then Number of Members step is skipped (as OP suggested).

As I run 'couples' rates using the min=max=2 setup myself, I would like to see the step skipped in this situation too. I could see this being handy for other situations where users are registering for (for example) team events where you have to have a team of 5 players to register -- why should the user have to enter 5 when 5 is the only option?
