How to set up Adult / Child with discount

How do I set this up?

Adult - $15, $12 before 7/17/16.
Child - $7
I have the event price set to $15.
I'm using Individual registration and two custom text fields: Number of Adults and Number of Children.
Validation: Integer Number.
I'm using a fee field for Adult with a formula: [FIELD_VALUE] * 15 -15
I'm using a fee field for Child with a forumla: [FIELD_VALUE] * 7 - 15
Discount: $3
Discount Date: 7/17/16

I have tried a variety of options and nothing seems to give the correct amount for the totals.
I would even be OK without the early bird discount but the other is not working properly either.

Event Booking - 2.0
Joomla - 3.3.6

I am sorry but I still don't really understand how you want the feed to be calculated. Could you please explain more details? Maybe send me the link to registration form and explain how fee should be calculated so that I can understand your requirement and find a solution?

Let me start with a smaller request, removing the early bird discount.
Request
Adult $12
Child $7
I want the $12 price to show up in the event pricing.

My incorrect solution
Event price $12
I have a fee field for Adult (multiply x 12) and then have to subtract 12 because of the event pricing.
I have a fee field for Child (multiply x 7) and then have to subtract 12 because of the event pricing.

It seems that's a correct setup. I don't know why it doesn't work. Could you please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that I can check and correct the setup for you?
