Does Events Booking provide it's own IPN handler? was created by Mike Thrall
We've recently run into an issue where our PayPal registrations are being left in the pending state even after the money has posted into PayPal. We've enabled IPN on the PayPal account in question, but are uncertain which address to use for the IPN response.
After searching through the forums, the answer I've seen is use your website address. Is this something that Joomla/Events Booking handles for us or is there something specific we need to do?

Hi Mike
Events Booking provides it own IPN url to Paypal for each transaction (when people register for your event, Events Booking will pass IPN url together with other information to Paypal, and Paypal will notify Events Booking to that provided URL)
So the only thing with your Paypal account setup is that you make sure Paypal IPN is enabled. When Paypal ask for IPN url, simply enter URL of your site and it works well (Events Booking use different IPN url, but it is passed to Paypal for each transaction)
Please try that, then check it again and let me know the result. If it still doesn't work, there must be something special on your site causing the issue. Please submit a support ticket so that we can check it further

Thank you for your prompt response. It indeed works fine with our standard url so long as IPN is enabled.
