Subcategory isn't including parent on menus was created by Stephan Hodges
If I have nested categories and create an event on a "child" category without ALSO marking it as part of the parent event category, it will not show up on calendars for the parent event.

Example:
Parent "Meditation Classes"
Child "Meditation Level 1"
Child "Meditation Level 2"

I create an event and select "Meditation Level 2".

This event does NOT show up on a calendar when the category is set to "Meditation Classes". It should, because "Level 2" is a part of the parent category.

In other parts of the component, it correctly does this. Example: When editing an article and selecting the "EB Event" button to insert a link, the filter options, etc. all correctly select all child categories when a parent category is selected.

Other components in Joomla also follow this convention.

Applies to versions 1.7.3 and previous versions as well.

Respectfully,
Stephan

Hi Stephan

I am afraid of I could not make this change althought it is not hard and won't take much time. The reason is because other customers are having it working like that at the moment and don't see a problem with it, so I will leave it as how it is for now and let this topic open here

If there are more customers need it (lets say 5 customers), I will add it as a config option in the extension for future release (maybe 1.7.5 as I am working on 1.7.4 for now but don't have plan for this feature)
