Email on registration of the event was created by Anna Truss
Hi Tuan,
I am probably missing something in the configuration, but what are the main steps I need to do to ensure the emails are being sent upon (offline payment) registration.
Registration works great. I had a complex situation and I was able to fix it with the custom fields, which is awesome!
Upon registration people see the Thank you message, but no email is being sent to either the administrator or the attendee.
Could you please point me to the right direction on how to ensure the email sending configurations are being setup properly?
Thanks,
Anna

Go to the 'Dashboard', then select 'Emails and Messages' Icon, the first three of the many boxes you see want filling out.
Look for 'User email body (offline payment)' box - third one down and fill it with something like what I have below.
Thank you for registering for the [EVENT_TITLE].
[REGISTRATION_DETAIL]
This email contains instructions for sending your Bank Payment also please find attached a proforma invoice.
All transfers must be in GBP. We must receive your bank payment prior to the conference.
Name: [FIRST_NAME] [LAST_NAME] Company: [ORGANIZATION]
[AMOUNT] GBP
Hope this helps Raph

Hi Raphael,
Thank you for the details on how to set it up.
Unfortunately, I already had it all there. In the beginning I had everything filled out within the Emails and Messages and I wouldn't receive a thank you page details or the email. I then went into the individual events and copied all the text to the fields in there. This time I could see the thank you page message and details. But I still don't get any email, even though I have both "Email & Messages" filled out and the fields for the individual events as well.
Do you happen to know why this might be happening? Not sure why the global Email and Messages didn't work. I would really hate to have to include this into the individual events every single time.
Hope anyways has any ideas on how to fix this. I would really appreciate any pointers.

Hi Anna
You don't have to enter email & messages for every individual events. You only have to do that if the individual event you need a special email messages (different from email & messages in Global).
So in this case, maybe something wrong on your site cause you are not receiving email. Please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that I can check and correct it for you

I've got a similar situation. I am able to test registration, and complete the form, and test paypal acceptance, but I never receive an email message to either the admin of the site or the account I registered for the event with. I do receive notifications if I enable 'offline payment'. I currently have the PayPal plugin in 'Test Mode'. Does having the plugin in Test mode not generate the email messages?
I've tested emailing from within the Joomla control panel and I receive messages. I'm using an internal SMTP server on the site, without authentication. When I look at the logs on the email server I do not see entries created when I register for events.
This is a test site and not accessible on the internet, so if you could provide me with settings or configuration items to investigate I would appreciate it. If I can provide further detail let me know.

Hi Andrew
If the site is not accessible from internet, Paypal payment won't work. The reason is because with Paypal, after you complete payment, Paypal needs to inform Events Booking about the payment (something called IPN). In case your site is not accessible from Internet, Paypal could not inform Events Booking about the payment for the registration, so the registration record won't be updated, no emails will be sent...
If you want to test it with Paypal :
1. Your site must be public accessible from internet
2. Your site must be in online mode, not offline
