When I don't use a filter (upcoming events, past hidden), it shows an event "Massage for Cancer Survivors".
I put this phrase "Massage for Cancer Survivors " into the filter field and then it said there were no events. (In fact, there are 8 event records with this title)
I noticed that I had an extra space at the end when I pasted into the filter (which I put in the pasted value above). When I remove the trailing space, all 8 events show up correctly
I believe you should be trimming leading and trailing spaces from the filter expression before applying it.
