Submitting registration form takes long was created by Michal
Hi,
Submitting registration form takes long, approximately 1m 40s. All other forms (contact, invite a friend) submission are instant. The performance of the website is very good but don't know what submitting registration form takes so long.
Do you have any idea ?
Regards

Hi Michal
The extension doesn't have any complicated process, so it should not take that long to completed. Infact, in the few years of it's life, I haven't seen anyone complains about the performance of the extension (I can say that it is well-coded)
Maybe you can send me the link to the page so that I can try ?

Measuring performance with Firebug I noticed that jquery-ui-addons.js takes 40% of the time.

Events Booking doesn't use JQuery UI, so it must come from different extension

Hello,
I know it is a very long time after the first post, but I observed the exact same problem.
When I start to register a event it exactly takes 1 min 40 sec. I have look in the DevTools from Chrome and there I can see that the calender-event?task=register.process_individual_registration took that long. I had here a "Waiting (TTFB)" of 1.7 min.
Do you maybe know from where this comes?
BG,
Alex

Hi Alex
What payment method you are using? Or it is a free event registration (where no payment is needed...) ?

Hi Tuan,
it is a free event with no payment. You can test it under following link:

Hi Alex
Do you have ticket PDF enabled (which requires system to generate PDF to send in email) ?
Could you please go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Send Notification Emails config option to Disable, then check to see if it works faster? I'm thinking that maybe the mail is sent slow by your mail server and that's the reason it is taking much time

Hi Tuan,
no there is no PDF attachment, only the .ics file for the calender. I turned off the the E-Mail Notification and then the registration came immediately.
I also noticed that, when I change the configuration to "Only Send Mails to Registrants", it takes half the time as before. So it has probably something to do with the E-Mail Server Configuration.
Thank you for investigating this topic.

Hi Alex
Yes, that's right. In this case, I believe the problem comes from mail server with email delivery process, so please contact hosting provider and ask them to check it
