event booking pro newcomer questions

Hi all,

we purchased event booking pro last week for our new Joomla 3 website just for testing it (since it is cheap and has a good score in extensions.joomla.org).

First I must say, the installation and configuration of the component works out of the box and i like it.
It fulfils 80% of our requirements.

While testing and configuring, a few questions have grown up for my part - and i have also some suggestions for improvements.

1. Is it possible to show the end-date and the price of the event in the module event booking: up-coming vents? This would be an nice feature for us.


2. Is it possible to create 'global locations' every event administrator can use for his events?


3. It would be nice for us, if we could add an thumbnail and description to event locations which pops up when you click on the location link.


4. Is there a joomla auto registration? Yes, i can enable joomla user registration globally, but i can't enable or disable it for specific events.


5. Is it possible to create conditional events, which are depending on registration and successfully finishing a past event? We have students, which must first register and finish course 1 before they can register for course 2, 3 and so on. This would be a must for us.


6. In the configuration menu for emails and messages, i can setup a global individual and group registration form message. Is it possible to create registration form messages for specific events?


7. It would be also nice, if we could choose the category(s) to be displayed in calender layout of com_eventbooking » calendar.


8. And at last, it would be nice if we could select different background colors for com_eventbooking » category (default and table) layout.

Any comments, suggestions and helping do to workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

=> It is not possible at the moment. However, it is easy to modify the module to show event end date. You can submit a support ticket (should be after Tuesday next week as right now, we are having new year holiday en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_New_Year ) so that we can modify the module for you

=> It is not possible. However, we can edit code easily to make all locations be available to all administrator

=> We might add support for it in the future. However, right now, it is not possible

=> Yes, there is Registration Integration config option. However, setting it to Yes, user registration will be enabled for all events. It could not be enable/disable per event

=> Sorry but Events Booking doesn't support this feature.

=> Look at Advanced Settings tab, you should be able to enter message for each event

=> Maybe creating menu item to link to Category Calendar layout would do the trict

=> Sorry, not possible. We don't have support for this feature

Hi Tuan,

thank you very much for your answers.

First I must tell you, that I'm glad i've found a simple workaround solution for dependent events, which fulfils our requirements.

Because Event Booking Pro seems to be the best :woohoo: event booking component I've found on the web (I've tested 3 others), I decided to use it for us. Next week I will upload the new website from my local debian server to our online server, because we might need support in the future. I'll give you an account to our site if this should be nessecary.

And - as you can see from my questions and your answers, your component need's improvements in some minor matters, which it could benefit from. (you could take more $ for it...)
I will write a pleasant review on extensions.joomla.org in the future.
