Tuan, been doing some more testing and this fix works if the user is not logged in.

However, the issue still exist when the user IS logged in but not part of the correct user group to register for the event. I think your original fix would suffice if it also handles the user group. And at the same time would need a new message to the user that tells them they are not in the correct user group to register for the event.

I was able to patch this by using the built in Joomla Redirect system when a link is inaccessbile.

Because I built special menu links I used the Joomla ACL to restrict access to the user groups which flags the Joomla JERROR_ALERTNOAUTHOR message. I customized the message for the time being but this is NOT the long term fix.
