Length of fields was created by Gerald Watkins
When the form displays, the field length goes all the way across the page.

How do I tell it to only be 50 characters and have the field only be for instance 300px wide?

I believe it is something with css of your site template. Please send us the link to the page so that I can ask my template developer to look at it and guide you

Please open this file: www.colorado-web-development.com/LSRunCl...rk1/css/template.css
And go to line 1794, add more the css style.
box-sizing: border-box;
width: 300px;
