How to use normal registration for free events and cart for payable events?

Is that possible?

It would also be OK if the cart was used for payable events and then the free event added, however not when the free event is clicked on first...

Or is it possible to add a thing in the event submission form showing that you either use the cart or not? per event?

Sorry but it is not possible or you will have to customize the extension yourself to have this feature.Right now, when you enable shopping cart, it will be enabled for all events, you could not have some events with normal registration form and some others with cart.
