I Got a new email from our hacker today

I to have received that email, 10/12/2014 at 16:19 however I have used their software in the past.

Can you just clarify why your asking as I am a little confused how this is related to the hack?

I received the same MijoEvents email last night. I have received 3 emails from them in the past, with the first being on 19 Nov 2014. I have no evidence of previously registering on their site.

Anyone else? It's using my name and email address... I don't remember dealing with this company before.

You must have signed up for, or emailed miwisoft.com (formally mijosoft.com, them in the past in order to get on the mailing list.

I got the the email from miwisoft.com because I use there shopping cart software. I have used it for the past few years and I find it hard to believe that they would be behind your hack.

They have event booking software. I looked at it the same time as I looked at yours and I went with yours because it was simpler to use and didn't need user registration.

It's entirely possible I have done the same. However I have searched my emails going back some years and have no record of this.

Somehow, one of user in my company (who just updated his email to our website in the last one month to replace his old email) receive email from them as well (of course, it is a new email and he didn't register on their website).

I was thinking about something but I think for now, it will be best to close this topic and come back to the development to improve the extensions.

Are you going to ask miwisoft about it - I don't want to be using software from a company that is hacking peoples websites!! If it is them then you need to do something about it

I think I won't ask them about it. No-one will say that they are hacking people websites or try to bring down a competitor business. We can only "guess" based on what information we have. It is difficult to find out exactly who hacked our server, so I think it would be best to stop it here and come back to development.

I just recieved the same email from MiwiSoft.com.

The funny is that they send that promotion email about MijoEvent to my corporate email which I used only on JoomDonation as second user. Never I sing up on their website, nether I know them.

So Tuan, in my opinion, they hacked your server.
