Friendly URL for category list was created by John McCall
We are trying to convert the site to be search engine- and user-friendly. For most pages, the alias is used in the URL. When we use a menu item type of Category Default Layout we get a URL such as index.php?option=com_eventbooking&view=category&id=26&Itemid=316 rather than the alias.
Is there any way to fix this? I have tried all sorts of weird ways such as hidden menus and external URL but it doesn't change.

Tuan,
Please ignore my question. For some reason, Joomla started ignoring the configuration option to use SEF. I logged off and back on and it started working. Gremlins?

OK John. Maybe it was just caching issue.
