Events Booking - site hacked was created by jeff
So after receiving the email a couple days ago about the compromise. I decided to go in and create a backup of my site just incase something would happen. My hosting provider is hostgator and as of today my site is completed down (all my files were deleted). I have opened an issue with the hosting provider in order to find out what exactly happened but I've noticed that based on our previous custom work that there was an FTP account that I've created. Do you know if by some chance your email or messages to you were compromised. I will let you know what I find out but as of now my site is completely deleted from the server.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff

Yes, It might be the reason. The hacker might have access to our site database, so if you submit support ticket sending us the information, he might be able to see it.

Could you please let us know as soon as you hear something from your host to see what happened ?

Regards,

Tuan

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. This is really scary. I'm glad that I changed everything the moment i got that email about being hacked. I'm still terrfied somethign could happen. I don't recall what else I've sent you guys in terms of login credentials, but i have tried to change everything that I can think of. I will never send my passwords to anyone ever again after this. While I appreciate teh support that you give us when we have a problem by logging in and fixing it for us, now that we know that your information is not secure, obviously that is no longer a viable option for us. I'm very sorry that this happened to a great company like yours as you have always provided the best support, but this is just too scary. It doesn't sound like anything is being done about it either. You just keep asking people to report the level of damage they have incurred. You should be telling us exactly what information of ours was comprimised and what meaures are being taken to prevent it from ever happening again. I feel like it's being taken very lightely by your company. You guys never sent out one wanring message to us customers after the hack to tell us that it happened or told your customers how to protect themselves moving forward VIA EMAIL. These hackers really did a number on you guys. I'd go after them with everyting I had if it were me. Anyway good luck everyone. Looks like it every man for himself!

Hi James

We emailed all customers (who could be affected by this security) with all the things we found. In short. if you have submitted a support ticket sending us information of your site. then please change these accounts and you should be safe.

Even if you don't change, you should still be safe (just from my thinking/analyzing). I am really sorry for this issue.

@Jeff: Did you hear anything back from your hosting company ? Anything we could do for you ? Please let us know once you heard something back from your hosting company. Hope the site can be restored soon.

Regards,

Tuan
