waiting list check?

I have a question regarding waiting lists.

Let's say an event has room for 10 people. 9 people have already registered. There is only 1 space left.

2 different users add the event to their shopping cart. Because the event isn't full yet, the waiting list is not offered to either of them.

1 of the users checks out and successfully registers. Now the event is full.

The other user checks out successfully and is also added to the event. Now the event has 11 people in it.

Is it possible for you guys to add a count validation during check out as well as when a user clicks "register"? That will prevent the above scenario from happening. I can see people adding events to their cart, walking away, and coming back later when the event is full and they're allowed to register anyway. That causes headaches for me as I will have to tell them they didn't actually register on time.

Hi this isn't a reply - it's just to reiterate that this is an important feature.

I run several very large tournaments with very high demand for places. I would like to ensure that when I set the limit to 135 places in each of my events, only 135 people will be able to enter.

If there are too many users register for the event at the same time, over-capacity can happen. The extension still hasn't had a way to prevent it, so maybe in this case, you will have to find a different extension (I am not sure there is one which can handle this situation correctly)

Ok. I can work with this even if it's not my ideal solution. Maybe I'll file a post for a feature request.

Yes. It is in my todo list for now. But this doesn't take high priority at the moment.

For your other requests, I can only work on it on tomorrow. (as you know, our hosting account was hacked), and we are working to solve it (some final steps needed right now)
