Event booking menu link just goes to blank page

Just updated to Event Booking 1.6.6.
I've set up a category, events and custom fields, and a menu item that is specified as a Category Table Layout, with the category I set up selected. All categories and events have been published.
When the menu item is clicked, there is just a blank page. No category, no event list, nothing.
The menu item is linked to index.php?option=com_eventbooking&view=category&layout=table
Actually, no matter what option I set for the menu, whether "Categories List", "Category Default Layout", "Category Table Layout" or "Event Detail", nothing links and I just get a blank page.
Version 1.14 was working OK.

There must be something special on your site causing the issue. Please submit a support ticket sending us admin and FTP account of your site

The issue seems to be resolved.
I spent some time uninstalling a number of components and modules that were no longer used on my site, then uninstalled and reinstalled Event Booking. It now goes to the correct event detail or category list.
There was probably a conflict with one of the components I uninstalled.
