Which Solution to use? Discount Code or Group Rate

Chapter wants to allow Members to register for monthly events for $20 and Guests to register for $30.

I see Discount Codes and Group Registration options.

What is the best scenario?

1. Event could be charged at $30 and with access code MEMBER get $10 off. --- or ----
2. Event could be charged at $20 individual registration for those REGISTERED WEBSITE USERS(MEMBERS) that want to register, but what happens to guests that have to be charged $30? This would require members to log on to the website every time to register for an event.
3. Group Registration....where 2 people including the MEMBER would pay for both himself and the guest making the per/rate $25 because of adding both the $20 Member Fee and the Guest Fee $30 together to get $50.

What is the best solution to setup registration using Event Booking. They are currently using 1.6.2.

The answer is :

1. If you don't want users to have to login to get discount, you can use coupon code

2. If you want users to login to get discount, you can use Members Discount feature

BTW, 1.6.2 is a very old version of the extension. So if it is possible, please ask them to upgrade to latest version (1.6.6)
