Could not instantiate mail function - Error

I recently purchased Event Booking and am setting up and testing the first event.
After submitting the form, the "Registration Completed" page show the following errors:

Could not instantiate mail function.
Could not instantiate mail function.

The registration inserts into the Registration table successfully.

in Global Configuration, I have PHP Mail set up which works fine with another registration component ( I am replacing the old component with Event Booking to allow for online payments)

I have added an email address on the General Configuration page for "From Email" and "Notification Emails".

What else needs to be configured to get email to work with Event Booking?

Maybe you entered the From Name and Notification Emails in a wrong format ? Could you please submit a support ticket sending us admin account of your site so that we can check it ourself ?
